Using dyes and stains, we can create almost any color or design on a preexisting floor or a new floor. We work with you to determine the best colors, opacity, and design, and create custom samples so you can see how each choice will work on your type of wood. The techniques used by our skilled craftsmen can update old, tired floors or make new floors blend seamlessly with others in a historic house.
Patterns or solids, dyed and stained floors are a popular choice in homes today
After snapping a chalk line grid , we taped off each square to prepare for staining. Staining was done by hand in each marked square and then a light pumpkin colored varnish wash was applied over the entire floor. Once that was dry, we applied three coats of acid cure conversion varnish.
Black Dye and Ebony Stain on Oak
This kitchen floor is a combination of old white oak flooring and new white oak flooring. We dyed and stained the floor to create a homogeneous floor with no variation in color or tone between the old and new flooring.
